Julie Radoslovich
Julie Radoslovich has served as an educator in New Mexico for twenty years, most recently as the Principal/Director of South Valley Academy, a Title 1 public charter school in Albuquerque’s South Valley. Under her leadership, the school grew from a 9-12 campus of 250 students to 635 students in grades 6-12. During her tenure, she fostered community engagement by nurturing a 4-year Service Learning program with a capstone community action project. She sought out community collaborators to promote educational equity, ensuring student voice in public policy deliberations, adequate federal resources for public schools serving immigrant communities, and state teacher-pipeline programs for those underrepresented in the profession. Julie served on the New Mexico Educator Evaluation System Task Force that adapted statewide the Professional Development Plan model devised by South Valley Academy. Julie has participated in educator and school leadership events and retreats hosted by the Sofia Center since its inception.
Julie grew up in Albuquerque’s South Valley and graduated from Rio Grande High School. After earning her B.A. degree at Stanford University, Julie completed the Master in Public Administration program at the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts and completed her Educational Specialist Certificate with distinction at University of New Mexico.
